About Me

Well, where to start? I guess I should start with what’s most important. My family. I come from quite a large family (4 brothers, 4 sisters which is 9 kids total) and just that is pretty impressive! I grew up with not a lot, but definitely enough. I have a wonderful relationship with every one of my siblings and I give the credit for that to my parent’s who, honestly, I’m surprised are even sane anymore. I grew up homeschooled which is where a lot of my influence comes from and is what I’m very passionate about. We were always taught to use what we had and I love finding new ways to “beat” the system. I graduated highschool at 17 and graduated with an associate of arts degree in early childhood education at the age of 19. I immediately married the most wonderful man I’ve ever know, Chris, in 2013 and we decided to waste no time starting our family. In November of 2013, our beautiful, stubborn, wonderful daughter Chloe was born. We moved to Killeen, Tx , where we currently live, in July of 2014. By October, we were surprised to find that we were expecting again! June 20th, 2015, we welcomed the newest member of out family, Kimberly. She is now almost 2 months old and is the sweetest, quietest baby ever and a true blessing. My family is my everything and I wouldn’t give up any part of them!

I always knew that I wanted to start a family right away, but I never thought that it would all happen so fast. I had plans to work for a few years and spend time with my husband, but we felt like it was the right time, and we don’t regret it at all! I do want to start a small business of some sort out of my home, but just haven’t had the resources to do so quite yet.

I like to play guitar, and I used to play in a church band back in my teens, but I just now started to pull it out and play every once in a while. Chloe loves to sit with me and listen to me play. She will even sing along while I play which just melts my heart! I also play some piano, but I don’t know how to read sheet music so I’m someone limited in what all I can play.

I love LOVE to cook which is what I have focused my attention to lately. I am learning to not be so held back with my creativity and I have been able to whip up some pretty impressive things! I also have to credit my confidence and skill in the kitchen to my mother Lauren Clark. She taught me everything I know and I don’t know what I would have done without her!

Well, there you go! That’s me in a nutshell (I know, just imagine if you actually got to be around me! lol). Follow my blog if you want some recipes and entertaining read!
